A COMMUNITY RESEARCH, ENGAGEMENT AND SUPPORT INITIATIVE

SUPPORTING THE EMOTIONAL WELLBEING AND MENTAL HEALTH OF BLACK AFRICAN, BLACK CARIBBEAN AND MINORITY ETHNIC CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND FAMILIES

Strong Minds ♥ Strong Hearts ♥ Stronger Futures

You are not alone.

Help is available. Hope is possible. Healing is real.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Many Black African, Black Caribbean and Minority Ethnic children, young people and families face pressures that can affect emotional wellbeing, mental health, confidence and identity.

Some young people struggle silently because of stigma, fear, cultural expectations, lack of understanding, or not knowing where to seek help. Others may face bullying, discrimination, grief, trauma, family pressures, school stress, social isolation, substance misuse, vaping or risk-taking behaviours.

THRIVE creates a safe, culturally sensitive and supportive space where young people can be heard, valued, encouraged and guided towards positive choices, healing, resilience and purpose.

Challenges may include:

WHO IS THIS FOR?

HOW WE CAN SUPPORT?

Together, we can build a brighter future.

ROOTED IN FAITH, GUIDED BY VALUES.

We believe in the power of God’s love, compassion and wisdom to transform lives and strengthen communities. Our work is guided by Christian values that reflect:

LOVE – Compassion in action
DIGNITY – Valuing every individual
🛡 INTEGRITY – Doing what is right
🤝 RESPECT – Honouring all people
🤲 SERVICE – Giving with a humble heart

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Philippians 4:13

HONOURING OUR HERITAGE, BUILDING OUR FUTURE

We support young people to value their identity, culture and heritage while growing in confidence, purpose and resilience.

Honouring our past. Nurturing our present. Empowering our future.

COMMUNITY RESEARCH AND ENGAGEMENT

THRIVE is working to better understand the experiences, challenges and support needs of Black African, Black Caribbean and Minority Ethnic children, young people and families.

Through community engagement, research and partnership building, we aim to inform future services, programmes and support pathways.

We are seeking collaboration with:
